Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective products or equipment. Perform skilled, technical work in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair for assigned product or process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides expertise related to product implementation and continued service.
- Provides technical solutions and design implementations for products and services.
- Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment (electric actuators, Pneumatic actuators) , parts, components and assemblies.
- Analyzes and interprets test data.
- Evaluates performance and reliability of materials.
- Repairs Customer equipment including disassembly, degrease, replace needed parts and assembles back to OEM specifications.
- Performs routine analysis and calculation and recommends changes.
- Diagnoses and reports malfunctions.
- Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required.
- Mount Electric actuators to valves, set up to allow for valve and component automation, set limits, torques, while following dimensional and electrical drawings
- 2-year technical degree
- 3-5 years experience. Typical Training/Experience
- HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally, 2 - 5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Knowledge, understanding, and can interpret wiring schematics
- Has knowledge and understanding of motor control circuits and control systems
- Has experience using overhead cranes, fork lifts, hand tooling
- Has a good knowledge of power tools, and mechanical tools as well as learning the use of specialized tooling.

- Occasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Continually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard

- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
- Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
- Occasionally loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)
