What you’ll do
- Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their prosthodontic needs.
- Design, fabricate, and fit dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants.
- Conduct oral surgeries and dental extractions while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Utilize advanced imaging technologies for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other specialists to provide holistic patient care.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and the importance of maintaining their prosthetic devices.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in prosthodontics and general dentistry practices.
Basic qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license with specialization in Prosthodontics.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for patient management.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with treating young patients.
- Knowledge of endodontics and root canal therapy techniques.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Proven ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively within a team environment.
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is highly desirable.
