What you’ll do
- Deliver comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients, including preventive, restorative, and emergency treatments.
- Perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics as needed while ensuring patient comfort.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that address individual needs.
- Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for each child.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuous education and training.
Basic qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license with board certification in pediatric dentistry.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Experience with medical imaging techniques and aseptic techniques for safe practice.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control protocols.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting focused on pediatrics.
