Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/Journeywoman Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various construction and manufacturing environments. Your expertise will ensure that all piping work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes for sanitary process piping, stainless steel fabrication, pipeline projects, and other mechanical applications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, calipers, and tube benders to shape and connect pipes efficiently.
- Perform welding tasks including , SMAW (Shielded metal arc), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and
welding in accordance with ASME codes & standards. - Measure materials precisely using calipers and perform basic math calculations to ensure proper fit and alignment of piping components.
- Rigging and lifting heavy pipe sections safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections and troubleshoot issues within piping systems to prevent failures or leaks.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with scaffolding, rigging equipment, or at heights on construction sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a pipefitter in construction, manufacturing, or maintenance environments.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and pipe fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in welding processes including SMAW, TIG; experience with
welding is a plus. - Skilled in pipe Sanitary tubing , tube bending, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude with Food and Beverage process piping systems and Fabrication
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations reliably.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
