About Us
Flowery Grove Montessori School is a nurturing early childhood education center in Duluth, GA, grounded in the Montessori philosophy. We are seeking a passionate Director / Lead Teacher to support both classroom instruction and administrative leadership.
Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Assist with day-to-day operations
- Coordinate staff scheduling and parent communication
- Support enrollment, compliance, and school events
- Train the volunteers for substitute teachers
- Mentor staff and ensure quality classroom practices
Lead Teaching:
- Lead a Montessori classroom with a prepared and engaging environment
- Observe and assess student progress
- Foster a respectful and nurturing classroom culture
- Maintain strong communication with families
Qualifications
- Montessori Certification (AMS or AMI) – Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field – Required
- 2 years experience as a Lead Montessori Teacher
- Prior experience in a school leadership role – Required
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Familiarity with Georgia child care licensing – a plus
