Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills and experience handling intercompany transactions along with the ability to analyze financial data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities (LLCs, partnerships, etc.)
- Perform monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly closings
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Track and report property-level performance (NOI, cash flow, budgets)
- Budgeting and forecasting for properties and corporate entities
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate journal entries
- Full responsibility for accounts payable and receivable processes
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
- Assist with loan tracking and debt schedules
- Monitor capital expenditures and development costs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10 years of accounting experience (real estate experience strongly preferred)
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting for multiple entities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling a plus)
- Understanding of real estate accounting concepts (CAM reconciliations, depreciation, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with YARDI property management accounting systems
- Familiarity with real estate development accounting
