Route Delivery Driver (Part-Time – Food Distribution)

Position Overview
Flowering Sun Ecology Center is a growing gourmet mushroom farm serving restaurants and chefs across the Hudson Valley. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented delivery driver to run a consistent weekly route and represent our farm with professionalism.
Schedule: Every Thursday
Hours: Typically 7–10 hours (depending on route volume)
Pay: $18/hour
As the season picks up, there may be opportunities for additional delivery days and expanded hours.
Responsibilities
- Drive a local delivery route to restaurants and wholesale customers
- Safely operate a refrigerated sprinter van
- Load, organize, and verify orders before departure
- Deliver products on time and in excellent condition
- Communicate clearly and professionally with chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure an invoice is given to and signed by the chef
- Represent the farm with a positive, respectful presence
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience driving cargo or sprinter vans
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry boxes (20–50 lbs)
- A solution-oriented, proactive mindset
