Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and guidelines
- Collect, prepare, and analyze samples using laboratory techniques such as PCR and DNA isolation
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and biohazardous waste
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize laboratory processes
- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory assays
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, medical technology)
- Experience working in a research or clinical laboratory setting
- Proficient in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and data management systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members
