Position Summary:
Flower Divas, a thriving wedding and event florist in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a talented and dedicated Assistant Manager/Event-Floral Designer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves assisting with event installations, managing staff, designing floral arrangements, and contributing to administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for all aspects of floral design.
Responsibilities:
- Design and create beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, events, and other occasions using both fresh and silk/faux flowers.
- Co-manage a team of up to 4 staff members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Assist and oversee staff during event installations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in executing designs.
- Drive company van or personal vehicle to transport floral arrangements and event materials as required, maintaining a clean driving record.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and create customized designs tailored to their preferences.
- Complete administrative tasks, such as managing schedules and processing orders, which can be done remotely.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in all aspects of floral design, including weddings, events, and working with silk/faux flowers.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and mentor a small team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and staff.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive a van or personal vehicle for event transportation.
- Flexibility to work Monday - Friday and weekends with a flexible schedule.
