Summary/Objective:
The accountant plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financials records, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This position provides precise and accurate financial reporting and analysis to aid in business decision-making and operational performance.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze financial data, variances, and trends to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Serve as additional support for accounts payable, billings, and payroll functions.
- Support department heads by generating and distributing various internal reports.

- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical reasoning.
- Effective communication.
- Teamwork, and willingness to work with others on joint projects.
- Ability to take direction and work independently as necessary.
- Technical proficiency with Excel.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Ability to interface with mid and upper management, as needed.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
- Related work experience, with production/manufacturing experience preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
