What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Welder position at FLOWCO HOLDINGS INC.?
Fabricate, repair, and assemble compressor packages in accordance with Flogistix specifications, standards and ASME code b31.3. Primary duties involve welding but will also include operating fabrication equipment to include but not limited to overhead cranes, welding machines, grinders, saws, drills, power tools, and hand tools.
Works integrally with other employees and independently.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Ability to consistently produce X-Ray quality welds with less than 5% repair rate.
- Must have excellent manual dexterity.
- Must be able to weld in horizontal, vertical, overhead, and flat positions.
- Must have problem solving skills.
- Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
- Be responsible for welding with high quality, speed, and efficiency.
- Final welds must meet internal policy standards and PT / RT acceptance criteria.
- Must understand how to interpret and use blueprints, drawings, welding specifications and Flogistix welding procedure.
- Must be able to follow instructions given by supervisor.
- Will be required to keep shop and work area clean by performing daily housekeeping duties.
- This is a “safety sensitive” position.
- 5 years’ experience in GMAW welding, preferably.
- 5 years’ experience in print reading, fabrication, and pipe fitting, preferably.

- Must pass 3G weld test.
- Have minimum of 90 days rolling out pipe without issues
- Satisfactory completion of a three-month probationary period to demonstrate proficiency in X-ray welding with efficiency.
- Complete knowledge of unit layout for major components, welded and threaded assemblies.
- Possess leadership qualities.
- Must have the ability to improve and promote quality, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
