About the Role
As an Inventory Control Coordinator at Flowchem, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory data, coordinating inventory activities across departments, and supporting supply chain operations. This position ensures materials are available when needed and helps maintain a lean, efficient, and responsive inventory system. You’ll be instrumental in tracking material movement, conducting reconciliations, and supporting reporting to ensure optimal stock levels and alignment with production goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using the ERP system, ensuring data integrity and real-time visibility.
- Coordinate inventory movements with purchasing, production, and shipping teams to support smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve inventory variances to maintain high inventory accuracy.
- Develop and follow inventory control procedures for receiving, stocking, issuing, and returning materials.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports and dashboards to support management decisions and forecast planning.
- Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics such as turnover ratios, obsolete stock, and reorder points.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in inventory processes and proposing solutions.
- Ensure proper labeling, organization, and traceability of materials across storage areas to comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Assist in training team members on inventory practices, system use, and procedural changes.
- Partner with quality and compliance teams during inspections and audits related to inventory and material handling.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse coordination, or supply chain roles.
- Familiarity with inventory procedures in a manufacturing, chemical, or regulated environment is an asset.
- Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar; experience with inventory modules preferred.
- Comfortable analyzing data and generating actionable insights from inventory reports.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and procurement teams.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
- Inventory management certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
- Forklift certification may be required based on site needs.

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials up to fifty (50) pounds. Employees must be able to operate scanning tools, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as needed. Frequent hand and arm movement is required for entering data and managing inventory physically. Visual acuity is essential for reading labels, verifying stock numbers, and reviewing inventory reports.
Work Conditions
Work is performed in both office and warehouse settings. Warehouse conditions may include exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and moving machinery. Proper PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear, must be worn in designated areas. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be necessary during inventory counts or project deadlines. Regular collaboration with supply chain, production, and logistics teams is expected.
