Inventory Management Supervisor
Role Purpose:
The Warehouse Supervisor assures that all internal and external customers receive orders in a timely, cost-effective, and accurate manner. Builds positive employe relationships and balances the work activities and scheduling according to business needs.
As Inventory Management Supervisor, you will:
- Oversee all operational duties of the warehouse staff (shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, delivery, etc.); may provide assistance throughout the warehouse.
- Responsible for attending and/or leading scheduled customer meetings, daily TRC team safety meetings and regularly-scheduled on-site TRC meetings
- Responsibilities will include unloading incoming freight, receiving, put-aways, pulling orders, loading trucks, onsite delivery, cutting wire, and trash/debris disposal.
- Coordinate warehouse staffing needs with the Senior Warehouse Leadership.
- Assist with departmental cross training and in professional development of team members.
- Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards established by the leadership team. Report any concerns to Senior Warehouse Leadership.
- Communicate with Senior Warehouse Leadership and provide feedback including employee counseling and coaching actions initiated to maintain a sage and productive work environment.
- Understand and apply the policies of the employee handbook with day-to-day application of the following sections: Timekeeping and Payroll, Work Conditions and Hours, and Employee Conduct and Disciplinary Action.
- Oversee and troubleshoot logistics, inventory, and general customer service-related issues.
- Become certified to operate all warehouse machinery.
- Assist in creating, implementing, and revising quality procedures and work instructions.
- Support the implementation and processes of third-party warehouse software applications, such as TWL, DQ, Globalship, and their successors.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred or demonstrated progression toward degree completion. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of an Associate’s degree
- Three or more years of experience in warehouse operations
- One year of warehouse leadership experience
- Proven leadership ability with good organizational skills, attention to detail, and good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze information requirements and needs, identify problems, and solve them to ensure efficient utilization of work processes.
- Working knowledge of WebUI Business System and MS Office products
Working Conditions:
Normal warehouse environment.
