Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all daycare areas, including playrooms, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and sanitation tools.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling safety procedures to ensure a healthy environment for children and staff.
- Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and floor care to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or equipment, adhering strictly to safe lifting practices.
- Operate commercial cleaning equipment efficiently, including floor buffers and scrubbers, to ensure optimal floor maintenance.
- Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or chemical exposure.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including basic repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial or residential settings; custodial experience is highly valued.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards specific to childcare environments.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and other custodial equipment confidently.
