Job Summary

Working for Flow Roofing you will the customer's guide through inspections. You help start the process and the installation team handles the physical aspect of installing the roof. We would prefer that the roofing inspector can perform the roofing inspections independently. Create detailed reports based on the inspections performed with cost estimates.

Field inspectors are responsible for aerial and on-site data collection while validating a viable cost-effective solutions for homeowners. Inspector will guide homeowners through their considerations through value based decision making around their specific project needs and requests. Sales experience is an advantage however, we don't sell to our customers. We educate and inform. We value our customer's time and are in constant communication throughout all projects and services.

Opportunity to grow very fast based on experience and performance. Commision tiers after 30 days. All training provided. Company vehicle, phone & laptop provided.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

  • Perform expert analysis of roofs by appointment from customers who have requested roof inspections.
  • Collect relevant Information and accurately document measurements, photograph areas of concern from on the roof, project details and customer requests.
  • Educate property owners on our approach to roofing and their project.
  • Conduct in person & remote measurements
  • Develop accurate estimation techniques (Training Included)
  • Have honest conversations with homeowners.
  • Determine pricing for customer quotes
  • Thorough communication with your homeowners.
  • Read & extract key measurements from building documents.
  • Assure that company vehicle is maintained to company safety standards.
  • Take pictures of job sites, current conditions and other relevant roofing details.
  • Make hand drawn sketches of recommendations & project inventory.
  • Upload clear images files, hand notes, and sketches and edit for quality and cohesiveness.
  • Communicate project expectations
  • Organize Customer Documents
  • Creating Workorders

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat. Working knowledge of Google Earth/Maps. Ability to quickly learn new systems and databases.
  • Highly organized, self-starter, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior time management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible, take direction & requests with ease, including changes to schedule and workflow priorities.
  • Critical thinking skills; make assessments and provide solutions to problems.
  • Ability to maintain professional tact in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to follow direction in maintaining all Field Safety standards.
  • Superior customer service.
  • GRIT (guts, reliability, innovation and teamwork).
  • College Degree Preferred

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
  • Experience in either the engineering, construction, architecture or telecommunications industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with construction engineering standards.
  • Capable of identifying issues in the field that would have a potential to impact production assignments.
  • Able to collect necessary data from the field for determining a design including all necessary inventory details.
  • Experience with leading others through education.
  • Basic knowledge of roofing/gutter systems/siding. This is a learning environment, and we are able to consider candidates new to the industry if they have sales experience.
  • Basic Knowledge of Make-Ready Construction
  • Able to identify potential problems for various different situations.
  • Able to effectively account for all information that is required to attach to a pole and complete all necessary measurements and photos.
  • Experience in estimating

Travel Requirements

  • Daily travel to job site(s)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, stoop, squat and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to/over 50lbs
  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time and/or long distances.
  • Tolerant elements (heat, sun, wind, rain, snow, etc.). This position is 80% outside.
  • Willingness to hop in attics to check interior details
  • Climb step ladders for single story inspections
  • Good vision and depth perception (corrective lenses OK)

Schedule:

  • Up to 8 hour shifts
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • College (Preferred)
  • High School Diploma or Equivelent

Experience:

  • Construction Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
