Quick Background
Flow is a small, fast-growing pool service and repair company that is intensely focused on great customer service. We're currently a small team, and are seeking experienced, high-energy service technicians to service our current route and help steer Flow's strategic direction as we grow.
About the Job
- Following a 2 - 3 week company orientation and training period, you will be responsible for caring for 9 to 12 pools per day.
- Each visit includes the following standard services: test and adjust the water chemistry, vacuum, brush, and skim the pool, clean out skimmer, floor-cleaner, and pump baskets, and backwash filters.
- We pay more than other employers because we hold ourselves to higher standards. Vacuuming and skimming are to be done to near perfection, equipment is to be inspected for leaks and optimal operation, before and after photos are to be taken, all readings, work performed, and notes are to be communicated through our digital portal before moving on to the next job.

- There will be opportunities to bear greater responsibility and grow into future roles (think repair technician, start-up technician, or management) if that's something you want.
Important Things to Know
- $42,000 - $48,000 per year, depending on experience and performance.
- Performance encompasses three pillars: (1) ability to identify problems and communicate them; (2) ability to consistently handle a workload of 9 - 12 jobs per day; (3) positive feedback from customers.
- Vacation's include: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Years Day, and two additional weeks of paid time off (PTO) following a qualifying period.

Requirements
Important Skills
- Time in the industry does not equal competency. If you have 6 months experience but have a strong understanding of the points below, we want to hear from you.
- Must have a strong understanding of the LSI, how it relates to visual problems with the pool surface and equipment damage.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and solve poor water circulation.
- Must understand how water flows through sophisticated equipment systems: in-floor cleaners, negative edges.
- Must understand how pH is affected by different factors, including alkalinity, aeration, tri-chlor tablets, cal-hypo tablets, and chlorine shock.
- Must understand the role cyanuric acid plays in both water balance and sanitization.
- Must know how to complete a green-pool cleanup from start to finish.
- Must be a good person (can communicate with customers, give honest feedback to your peers, etc.)
- Must know how to perform a filter deep clean for all cartridge and D.E. style filters.
The Boring and Essential Stuff
- Must be able to swim.
- Must be willing and able to work outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to see color.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must pass a thorough criminal record and background check.
- Must pass a thorough reference check.
