Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Barre Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong musicality and the ability to teach beat-based classes, brings high, motivating energy to the room, and demonstrates a keen eye for proper form and alignment. Instructors should be confident leading structured, rhythm-driven classes while creating an engaging and inclusive environment for all participants.
Instructors are expected to teach 75% of their scheduled classes and maintain availability to support team coverage by subbing when needed.
At Flow, our Barre classes are 50 minutes long and focus on low-impact movements that emphasize strength, endurance, and control, all set to the beat of the music.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Barre Classes: Lead beat-driven, music-based classes with strong pacing, clear cueing, and intentional sequencing.
- Musicality & Energy: Deliver classes that are aligned to the music, using rhythm and tempo to drive movement while maintaining a high-energy, motivating presence.
- Form & Technique: Actively observe and correct form, offering clear cues and modifications to ensure safety and effectiveness for all participants.
- Sub Classes: Contribute to a team-oriented environment by assisting with subbing when available.
- Participant Engagement: Build strong relationships with members, encourage progress, and provide thoughtful follow-up communication after class.
- Safety & Environment: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive class environment at all times.
- Community Involvement: Participate in studio events, challenges, and community initiatives.
- Continued Learning: Stay current with barre trends, technique, and teaching strategies to continuously improve class quality.
About Us: Flow Fitness Seattle has locations in Fremont and South Lake Union. We created a hybrid gym where our members enjoy studio quality classes but also get the variety and open gym access of a traditional gym.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months teaching rhythm based formats, with a proven track record of leading effective and engaging classes.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of proper form and technique in performing exercises.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and provide clear instructions.
