Summary
Shepherd Controls is looking for a driven sales professional to join our team in Arkansas. Shepherd Controls & Associates is a distributor of industrial automation products and solutions. We help manufacturers and other industrial customers solve real-world challenges through automation, making their operations smarter, faster, and more productive.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines we represent, as well as the industrial automation industry as a whole.
- Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow your territory.
- Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking.
- Provide customers with live product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with our internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd’s broad automation portfolio.
- Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real business outcomes.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.
We are looking for someone who is:

- Confident meeting customers, asking thoughtful questions, and proposing solutions.
- Coachable and committed to continuously improving as a salesperson.
Experience We'd Like to See
Any combination of the following is valuable:
- Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience.
- Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
- Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
