Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard 8-hour shift with flexibility based on workload. Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Position Summary

Flow Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Chiller Service Technician to support commercial and industrial clients throughout the Atlanta and Cartersville markets. This role focuses primarily on servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large-tonnage chillers and supporting mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience working with centrifugal, screw, and scroll chillers, along with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical and control issues. This is a field-based position that requires independent problem-solving, technical expertise, and professional communication with facility managers and building engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain large-tonnage commercial chillers and related mechanical systems
• Service equipment, including chillers up to 2500 tons, cooling towers, condensers and chilled water pumps, boilers, and related controls
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal inspections on chiller systems and associated HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, and control system issues using advanced diagnostic tools
• Perform chiller start-ups, commissioning, and system performance verification
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer technical documentation
• Identify system inefficiencies and provide recommendations to improve equipment performance and energy efficiency
• Maintain detailed service documentation and communicate findings with customers and internal teams
• Support installation or replacement of large commercial equipment when required
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency service needs
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards while working in commercial and industrial environments
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on chiller service experience
• Minimum five years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Experience working with centrifugal, screw, and scroll chillers preferred
• Strong knowledge of refrigerant circuits, compressor technology, and chiller controls
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and service manuals
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
