SUMMARY
The Transportation Manager oversees the daily operations and strategic direction of the agency's transportation services. This role ensures safe, reliable, and customer-centered transportation for an agency that serves older adults in Clark County. The Transportation Manager supervises and supports drivers and transportation staff, manages scheduling and dispatch, maintains fleet readiness, ensures accurate reporting and billing, manages compliance and grant requirements, and represents the agency in community partnerships and transportation coalitions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Operations & Service Delivery
- Manage the day-to-day transportation program, including call intake, ride scheduling, and dispatching using agency scheduling/dispatch software.
- Monitor schedules and communicate route changes to drivers.
- Ensure excellent customer service in every client interaction.
Staff Supervision & Workforce Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and support drivers and transportation staff.
- Maintain required training schedules, certifications, and performance documentation.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven team culture.
Fleet & Safety Oversight
- Ensure all vehicles are safe, well-maintained, and scheduled for inspections and repairs.
- Uphold all safety policies and maintain compliance with operational standards.
Reporting, Compliance & Grants
- Prepare service reports, billing reports, and data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with ODOT transportation grant applications and ensure ongoing grant compliance.
- Participate in required QA processes and maintain accurate records.
Community Relations & Agency Engagement
- Represent the agency at transportation coalitions, advisory committees, and community meetings.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations.
- Promote agency services and support agency-wide strategic initiatives.
Other
- Maintain strict client confidentiality.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in a supervisory position.
- Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Experience with transportation dispatch and scheduling systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Springfield, Clark County, and surrounding roadways.
