Bakery & Cafe Associate | Full-time, 38-40 hrs/week | $16/hr starting tips
Flour & Salt is a ten-year-old bakery and cafe in the heart of Hamilton, NY, and we're looking for a dependable, early-rising team member to join our bake team and our cafe crew.
What you'll do
- Run our morning bakes (at least 3 per week, 4:30am start), baking off pastries and breads and getting the display ready for opening
- Work our weekly prep day in the production kitchen
- Work cafe shifts: register, running food and drinks, supporting the barista, expediting sandwiches, opening and closing procedures
- Help keep the kitchen and cafe clean, stocked, and running smoothly
Schedule
- 38-40 hours/week over five days, weekends included
- At least three mornings per week start at 4:30am
- Looking to start in the next few weeks to a month
What we're looking for
- Someone reliable who's genuinely comfortable with very early mornings
- Food service experience preferred; baking experience is a plus, but we will train the right person
- Comfortable on your feet, lifting, and working in a fast-paced kitchen
- A team player who likes working with their hands and takes pride in the details
- Long-term interest in the role (1 year of employment - this is not a temporary job)
