Overview
Flotek is seeking a Field Technical Representative to join its field operations team. In this role, the Field Technical Representative is responsible for all Flotek operations on the wellsite such as those listed below along with effective communication with Flotek field support teams, accounting and client consultants on the wellsite.
Key Responsibilities
The Field Technical Representative will have direct responsibility for the following:
- Monitor product volume, usage and variance on fracturing locations
- Report product usage to company representative and internally within Flotek
- Rig up, rig down, and movement of company equipment
- Perform routine QA/QC tests on location such as basic water tests
- Understand and utilize basic laboratory equipment such as Waring Blender, Rotating Viscometer (i.e. FANN 35, Grace), water bath, digital scales, lab ware, etc.
- Work closely with pumping company personnel daily to ensure Flotek chemistry is pumped according to design and prescription
- Interface with consultants, client engineers or operating personnel as needed to perform assigned duties
Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related industry experience preferredApplicant must hold and maintain a Class D driver’s license with an acceptable MVR in accordance with company insurance requirements (Class A with Hazmat Endorsement preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Prior experience with hydraulic fracturing chemicals is preferred but not required
- On location fluids testing experience is preferred but not required
Work Environment
This position requires operating outdoors on hydraulic fracturing locations in all weather conditions.
Position
This is a full-time position with rotating 12-hours shifts on oilfield locations. There will be significant overtime required at times.
Due to this schedule, this position is not eligble for time off.
Travel
This position requires 65% travel out of the home area. Overnight stays away from home will be necessary depending on the wellsite locations.
