Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager. When not in the field it is expected that the project manager will be in the office in Hayward, CA. The Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project execution, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating project tasks and resources. Key responsibilities include managing logistics, expediting orders, inspecting materials and progress, and ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interface with clients, and ensure the successful delivery of material handling system projects. Salary will commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Fully understand the scope, goals, and timeline of assigned projects.
• Develop detailed project plans to achieve defined goals and objectives.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, expenses, staffing, and resources.
• Develop, implement, and manage project schedules.
• Order materials per project quotes; manage shipment dates, confirm delivery accuracy, and oversee job site logistics.
• Supervise internal staff, subcontractors, and vendor deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
• Schedule, coordinate, and prioritize all job site activities.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with customer representatives and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
• Track, organize, and review project milestones; communicate deviations or issues to the project team and management.
• Initiate project billings (invoicing) per payment schedules and milestone requirements.
• Track, document, and manage all change orders, ensuring written customer approval and timely billing.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety programs and verify all subcontractor insurance documentation meets job and customer requirements.
• Maintain overall responsibility for delivering a fully integrated and functional material handling system that meets project specifications and customer expectations.
• Ensure completion of all punch list items and obtain appropriate project closeout documentation and sign-offs.
• Submit relevant documents for permitting approval.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in material handling, conveyor systems, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and job site coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50–65% as required by project needs.
