Job Title: FOH Team Member

Job Description:

An FOH Team Member at Floriole will be a champion of hospitality and work closely with their team, lead by the FOH Lead, to consistently deliver an excellent guest experience at Floriole. FOH Team Members will be expected to uphold the quality of Floriole hospitality, coffee, and food, maintain a clean and sanitary dining room & workspace, place and receive orders, comply with systems and policies, and creatively contribute to menu offerings. In addition to demonstrating an undeniable knack for providing warm hospitality, the ideal candidate will possess strong creative problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills while staying calm and flexible in a fast-paced, high energy environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understands & upholds Floriole's mission statement & guiding principles. Complies with all Floriole policies and procedures.

• Proficiency in all stations: Register, Online, Pack, Barista, Hospitality 

• Provides excellent hospitality and maintains Floriole standards set forth by the Hospitality Lead.
• Fulfills beverage & food orders efficiently and accurately, and is certified on all relevant stations.
• Continually improves knowledge around all menu items. 
• Follows schedules and is compliant with daily/weekly.monthly checklists to complete all duties.
• Accurately orders, receives, labels, stores, and FIFOs product inventory.
• Participates as an active member of a team by receiving & contributing feedback in daily/weekly coaching sessions and during team gatherings and meetings.
• Communicates and coordinates with the BOH, Support, and Leadership teams as necessary to support the day-to-day operations of the bakery.
• Ensures kitchen & workspaces are neat, clean and sanitary. Adheres to sanitation regulations.
• Available to assist with BOH & on-site/off-site events as needed.
• Participates as an active member of a team by receiving & contributing feedback in coaching sessions and during team gatherings and meetings.
• Communicates and coordinates with the FOH, Support, and Leadership teams as necessary to support the day-to-day operations of the bakery.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, go up and down stairs and work standing for long periods of time.

Job Details:

• Full-time position. (32 hr to 40 hrs per week)
• Weekends and Holidays are a must. 
• Shifts are scheduled between 7am - 4pm (subject to change)
• Starting at $17.25/ hour tips (usually around $6.50/hour)
• Eligible for health insurance after 60 days (50% employer contribution). 
• Up to 80 hours combined sick and PTO accrued annually

• Demonstrates a keen interest in learning and a desire to continually improve.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a love for connecting with people.
• Experience working in customer service or retail.  Experience working in a food service environment is preferred. Barista experience preferred.
• Experience using a Point of Sales system.  Square preferred. 
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• IL Food Handler Certificate required.
• Servsafe Allergen Certificate preferred.
• Servsafe Manager City of Chicago Certificate is a plus.
