Job description:
Florida Water Process Services has an internship opportunity in the South Florida area. The intern will learn how to perform water testing and analysis as well as an array of technical assessments of water systems. The work involves cooling water, boiler and chilled water systems at customer sites. The intern will learn how to present oneself as a representative of Florida WPS at customer sites and will assist customers with problem solving support regarding Florida WPS products, applications, and solutions. This is a great opportunity for a year student enrolled in engineering or science related degree program. The intent is to evaluate the individual for potential to become a permanent Florida WPS employee to join our fast-growing team.
What You’ll Learn and Do:
- Assist with water system installs, maintenance, and repairs
- Join our technicians on monthly service visits to commercial sites
- Learn how to test water quality and monitor system performance
- Help prepare service reports and learn how to communicate with clients
- Shadow emergency troubleshooting calls and system diagnostics
- Learn about equipment and chemical usage in real applications

We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Is currently enrolled in a science, engineering, or related degree program
- Is curious, hands-on, and eager to learn
- Works well in the field and enjoys problem solving
- Is a dependable team player with great communication skills
- Has the ability to perform physical tasks (lift 50-85lbs), including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Ability to learn from a mentor and apply training at customer sites.
- Desire to live and work in the state of Florida
- Possesses strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
