Key Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitative care for animals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic mobility conditions.
- Conduct thorough examinations, diagnose conditions, and create customized treatment plans.
- Perform and oversee therapy modalities, including laser therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic ultrasound, and more.
- Educate clients on treatment plans, home exercises, and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with practice management on key performance indicators and business development.
- Mentor support staff and contribute to in-house training programs.
- Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts to grow the practice.
Skills and Qualifications
- Required Skills:
- DVM license in the current state.
- One of the following certifications: CCRP, CCRT, DACVSMR, CVPP, CVSMT preferred, or an interest in pursuing certification.
- Proficiency in practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A minimum of two years' experience in rehabilitation or sports medicine (preferred). Expertise in veterinary diagnostics and rehabilitative therapies.
- Preferred Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to changing clinical needs and evolving practices.
