Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site data collection during geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and logging
- Perform laboratory testing of soil, rock, and concrete samples to assess material properties and ensure quality standards are met
- Assist with construction site inspections to verify adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and quality control measures
- Support concrete forming processes and masonry work by monitoring material placement and curing conditions
- Maintain detailed records of field activities, laboratory results, and inspection reports for project documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to analyze test data and provide insights for construction decisions
- Conduct quality inspections of materials and workmanship throughout various phases of construction projects
Skills
- Laboratory experience with soil, concrete, or rock testing methods
- Construction site experience with a focus on geotechnical or civil projects
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and quality inspection techniques
- Ability to collect accurate data and perform detailed analysis of test results
- Knowledge of construction practices including concrete forming, masonry, and general site operations
