Job Summary
Florida Telecommunications Relay, Inc. (FTRI) is a private, non-profit organzation that provides equitable telecommunication access for Florida residents who are deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, or speech-impaired. The FTRI Business Manager is a key member of the leadership team who plans and manages accounting and administrative services. Responsibilities include collaborating with the leadership team, preparing the annual budget, providing periodic financial reports, coordinating audits, managing contracts, monitoring investment accounts, and administering employee payroll and benefits. The Business Manager must be able to work extended hours as needed and be available for limited overnight travel in support of conducting FTRI business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize community impact
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, accounting, reporting and asset allocation to meet financial targets
- Manage contracts, facilitate audits, and coordinate related reporting requirements
- Coordinate payroll and benefits administration activities
- Drive process improvements by analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing effective solutions
Education & Experience
- Degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience managing budgets and administrative functions
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, accounting, contract lifecycle management, and benefits administration
- Supervisory experience that includes mentoring staff, overseeing projects, and fostering collaboration
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for community service
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
