Florida Technical College is looking for a Bilingual Electrical with PLC Adjunct Instructor for our evening session.

This position is considered part-time, with flexible hours, allowing the option to teach either a morning or an evening course Monday to Thursday (3 per day).
Minimum Requirements:

PLC programming techniques and common software platforms experience.
- Specialized training and industry certifications in the Electrical Trades and applications are required.
- Two or more years of teaching or training experience
- NCCER Certification as an Electrician is a plus.
- Must be computer literate in order to maintain and manage the course documents within the learning management system, and also educational resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hands-on and troubleshooting: Experience in the practical application of PLCs, including installation and troubleshooting, is essential for teaching real-world scenarios.
- Programming expertise: A strong command of PLC programming techniques and common software platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) is fundamental for instructing students.
- Industrial automation knowledge: Instructors must understand industrial automation as a whole to provide comprehensive training that goes beyond just the PLC itself.
- Project and application experience: Experience with a wide variety of PLC systems and applications, perhaps from working with machine builders, provides a broad knowledge base for instruction.
- Continuous learning: Staying current with the latest PLC programming techniques is critical to providing relevant and up-to-date training.
