Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based in Fort Lauderdale and Plantation, FL. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessments, vital signs, health histories, and pre- and post-procedure monitoring for individuals with sinus, allergy, snoring, and sleep-related conditions. Daily responsibilities include preparing exam and procedure rooms, assisting physicians with in-office procedures, administering medications as ordered, and reinforcing treatment plans and home-care instructions. The nurse will coordinate patient flow, support patient education on disease management and follow-up care, and document all care accurately in the medical record. The role also involves collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to support quality improvement, infection control, and a safe, respectful care environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida; current BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Experience in ENT, ambulatory surgery, outpatient, or similar clinical settings is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, including monitoring vital signs, recognizing changes in patient status, and responding appropriately.
- Proficiency in performing and assisting with in-office procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and adhering to infection prevention protocols.
- Comfort with electronic health records (EHR), accurate documentation, and basic computer skills for scheduling and communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients, provide clear instructions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize multiple patients, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, confidentiality, and equitable treatment of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program; specialty certifications or additional training in ENT or sleep medicine are a plus.
