Commercial Lines Account Manager
The Florida Sheriffs Risk Management Fund (FSRMF) is seeking a motivated, service-oriented professional to join our team as a Commercial Lines Account Manager.
In this role, you will coordinate the placement and binding of insurance coverages not available through the FSRMF programs by working through the Florida Sheriffs Insurance Agency (FSIA). You will serve as a trusted resource for members seeking specialized insurance solutions while ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Additionally, this position provides backing up support for the FSRMF Account Managers in our Auto, Liability, and Workers’ Compensation programs, assisting current and prospective members as needed.
Reporting directly to the Chief of Member Services, the Account Manager plays a key role in supporting member needs and strengthening relationships with Florida's sheriffs and their agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the renewal of commercial coverages for FSIA clients (Florida Sheriff’s Offices and other governmental entities).
- Enter data into the agency management system, including invoicing premiums, receiving, and reviewing coverage documents and forwarding copies to clients upon determination they are correct as bound
- Provide service and support to FSIA clients throughout the coverage period, including but not limited to answering coverage questions, requesting certificates of insurance, providing guidance on coverage issues
- Assist in marketing new commercial coverages to FSRMF members Sheriff’s Offices and other governmental entities
- Function as a backup on FSRMF programs as needed
- Assist with other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Valid State of Florida General Lines 2-20 License
- 3-5 years insurance industry experience as an account manager or underwriter
- Experience with insurance agency management systems
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree
- Industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC

- This is an on-site position located in Tallahassee, FL; remote work is not available.
- This position requires successful completion of a background investigation prior to employment.

Salary & Benefits
The starting salary for this position is $65,000 annually, with final compensation based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
