Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the facility’s risk management program
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints; identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct audits and develop policies to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with leadership to promote a culture of safety and quality care
- Provide staff education and training on risk management and compliance
- Previous experience in risk management within a healthcare or skilled nursing facility
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- RN license preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Development:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate staff education programs.
- Conduct orientation and ongoing training for nursing and support staff.
- Ensure staff compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and analyze potential risks to patients, staff, and the facility.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor incident reports and ensure follow-up actions are taken.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Prior experience in staff development, risk management, or skilled nursing settings preferred.
