The Public Schools of Brookline (PSB) serves over 7,500 students in Kindergarten to grade 12. We operate eight elementary (K-8) schools and one high school in the Town of Brookline. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking a Track and Field Coach for the Spring Intramural Season. The Track and Field Coach is responsible for the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for planning and implementing all team activities.
- Collaborates with the District Intramural Coordinators to participate in the track and field meets.
- Communicates necessary information with all athletes and families
- Works with the Building Sports Coordinator to implement rules and regulations.
- Develops sports-specific skills and for all players.
- Models sportspersonship, good sports conduct and an inclusive environment.
- Provides a positive atmosphere for all players, coaches and spectators. Encourages school spirit.
- Reports to Building Principal and the Building Sports Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of rules and understanding of middle school athletics.
- Concussion awareness training certification
- All employees must undergo a CORI verification and fingerprinting process prior to the start of their employment.
- Current authorization to work in the United States- must have authorization by first day of employment
QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:
- Relevant coaching experience working with Student Athletes.
TERMS: Hourly Rate per Unit A Contract $40.73/session
Track and Field Intramural Sessions will have a maximum of 14 hours/sessions for the season.
