Title Building Paraprofessional
Description The Public Schools of Brookline seeks qualified candidates for the position of Building Aide at Heath School. This is a full-time, 37.5 hr./wk., and 188-day/year paraprofessional position. Job duties include:
- Provide a welcoming presence in main office and school.
- Maintain confidentiality of faculty, staff, students and families.
- Assist School Secretary with all office functions, including, but not limited to: reporting and maintaining attendance system, answering phones, greeting and supporting parents, students and visitor in the office, copying and monitoring of copiers, managing student records and scheduling building use.
- Distribute interoffice and U.S. mail daily and maintain staff mailboxes.
- Supervise student recess and lunches
- Supervise arrival and dismissal daily.
- Provide short-term supervision of classrooms as needed (usually an hour at a tme).
- Maintain school supplies closet (keep organized, track inventory) and fill requests for supplies from staff.
