Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and experienced Full-Time Handyman to assist with maintenance and repair work at residential properties.
The ideal candidate has practical knowledge of air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems, along with general handyman and property and maintenance experience. A professional license is not required, but candidates must be able to identify problems, complete common repairs safely, and work independently.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with starting compensation of $1,200 per week, based on experience, availability, and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs, maintenance, and installation work at residential properties.
- Diagnose and complete basic repairs involving A/C systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Perform minor carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general property-maintenance work as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.
- Identify maintenance issues and communicate recommended repairs clearly.
- Complete assigned work efficiently, professionally, and with attention to detail.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Communicate progress, material needs, and scheduling concerns with management.
- Travel between assigned properties using your own vehicle.
- Provide respectful and professional service to residents, clients, and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous handyman, property maintenance, construction, or repair experience.
- Working knowledge of A/C, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- No professional license is required for this position.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Must have basic tools needed to perform general maintenance work.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be dependable, punctual, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting materials and equipment.
- Additional experience with drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, appliance installation, or remodeling is preferred.
