Role Description

This is a volunteer on-site role in Florida, United States, for a Statewide Committee Member at Florida PTA. The role involves collaborating with other committee members to support the PTA’s mission through advocacy, communication, and program coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities may include attending committee meetings, planning and implementing initiatives, liaising with community and school leaders, and contributing to policy development. Committee Members will also assist in promoting PTA resources and facilitating connections among local units to strengthen advocacy efforts across the state.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, collaboration, and public speaking skills
• Experience in advocacy, community outreach, or policy development
• Organizational and time management skills for event planning and task coordination
• Understanding of public education systems and child welfare issues in Florida
• Passion for public service and volunteerism
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in an on-site setting
• Flexibility to attend meetings and events across the state, as needed
• Previous PTA or nonprofit experience is a plus
