Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Science teacher to join our academy. The Science teacher will be responsible for providing comprehensive instruction. This position requires strong content knowledge, effective classroom instruction, and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment that helps students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and real-world academic readiness.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and implement effective Science curricula that align with the school's standards and address the needs of middle and high school students.

● Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and academic expectations related to mathematics instruction, business instruction, assessment, grading, and classroom management.

● Assess students' current skill levels in mathematics and use assessment data to guide instruction, intervention, enrichment, and academic planning.

● Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate various learning styles, abilities, and levels of academic readiness.

● Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, manipulatives, and technologies to enhance student engagement, conceptual understanding, mathematical fluency, and real-world application. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, accountability, respect, and academic growth for all students.

● Monitor and track students' progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate academic performance records.

● Collaborate with classroom teachers, academic support staff, and school administrators to support student progress and integrate appropriate academic strategies across content areas.

● Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on students' academic progress, classroom performance, and areas for continued growth.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree

● Teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Education. Valid teaching certification/license in science or a related area.

● Proven experience teaching middle school/high school science

● Familiarity with AP-level academic expectations.

Other:

● Proficiency in using educational technology, online resources, graphing tools, learning management systems, and business-related instructional resources to enhance instruction and student learning.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

● Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and respond to changing academic and classroom circumstances.

● Understanding of and commitment to the school's mission, vision, and educational philosophy.
