Position Summary
Florida Oxygen and Transfilling, Inc. is seeking a dependable Delivery Technician to support our home healthcare operations. This role is responsible for the delivery, setup, follow‑up, and pickup of medical equipment in home and facility settings while ensuring patient safety, infection control, and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare experience (preferably home care), strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare field (Home Care experience preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift and transport medical equipment
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow all Policies and Procedures established by Florida Oxygen and Transfilling, Inc.
- Utilize Universal Precautions and Infection Control practices at all times when applicable
- Ensure company vehicle is fully stocked daily with supplies, documentation, and equipment
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, including removal of debris and routine cleaning
- Deliver, set up, follow up, and pick up medical equipment in home and facility settings
- Perform environmental safety checks per the Patient Plan of Care
- Provide patient and caregiver education during initial setup and follow‑up visits
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper equipment usage, maintenance, and operation
- Accurately complete Patient Plans of Care and follow‑up documentation
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Comply with equipment cleaning policies, including proper curbside cleaning techniques
- Maintain knowledge of Patient Rights and Responsibilities
- Attend and participate in all required training sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
