Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Orthotist position located in Jacksonville, FL. The Orthotist will be responsible for the design, fabrication, and fitting of orthotic devices to meet patients' specific needs. Daily tasks include patient assessments, modifying and evaluating orthotic devices, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient records. The role also involves educating patients on proper use and maintenance of devices.
Qualifications
- Expertise in designing, developing, and fitting orthotic devices to meet individual patient needs
- Strong knowledge of the human musculoskeletal system and biomechanics
- Experience in patient assessment, customization, and rehabilitation processes
- Ability to collaborate with healthcare teams and communicate effectively with patients
- Proficiency in using tools and technology relevant to orthotics fabrication and adjustments
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including safety and compliance requirements
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity
- Certification from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) or Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) preferred
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Florida license to practice or ability to obtain licensure
