Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and symptom evaluation.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing advanced clinical skills such as suturing, IV infusionand wound care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Practice Fusion to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties including behavioral health, geriatrics, pediatrics, and emergency medicine to coordinate patient care.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching strategies.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with diverse populations including, seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Practice Fusion for seamless medical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation.
- Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy and infection control protocols.
- Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center background enhances your ability to manage complex cases confidently.
- Familiarity with specialty areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, pain management, and post-acute care services.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing or medical imaging;
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality; excellent client communication skills for building trustful relationships.
