Position Summary

Essential Functions
- Administers and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests.
- Makes notes of behavioral observations during the assessment.
- May be responsible for collecting demographic information from a patient, and where appropriate, entering test data or
- [Psychometrist does not interpret, diagnose, or treat any mental or neurological illness and does not formulate or integrate
families during or after evaluations.]
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- May be responsible for various clerical or administrative duties that include but are not limited to patient scheduling,
- Completes a written summary of patient testing performance.
- Provides a written summary of the patient’s behavior during testing, including any interactions with the patient’s parents or
- Attends training conferences offered by the department as well as by outside organizations.
- Reviews and ensures timeliness, accuracy, and availability and security of information.
- Complies with Infection Control and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Understands, adheres to and models Core Standards as defined organizationally and specifically within the department/unit.
- Maintains an appropriate environment requisite to the performance of neuropsychological testing duties including appropriate
- Attention to record confidentiality to the highest of standards is expected and in accordance with the American Psychological
- Demonstrates an open, honest, caring, and committed communication style with staff, visitors, patients, and families.
- Practices efficient use of appropriate supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrates knowledge and expertise requisite to level of degree and requirements of position as stated.
