POSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director, coordinators and provides secretarial support of the Medical Staff's credentialing process of reappointment applications, requests for temporary privileges, proctoring of Medical Staff members (OPPE / FPPE) and the requests for one-time privileges. Prepares and updates Emergency Department On-Call rotation on an ongoing basis, but not less than monthly. Assists Director with the preparation of monthly meeting assignments as directed. Works with outside office personnel to ensure timely reappointments when requested and performs other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):Associate in Arts degree as well as experience in credentialing physicians and Allied Health Professionals in a hospital or managed care settingExcellent computer skillsKnowledge of speedwriting/shorthand preferredShould possess qualifications sufficient to be eligible to set for National Certification Examination within 5 yearsCUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
