Role Description
- Manage and supervise a care team front- and back-office medical assistants
- Support scheduling, administrative, and clinical coordination for physicians and providers
- Lead daily clinic huddles and coordinate proactive patient outreach efforts
- Oversee office to ensure efficient, accurate, and patient-centered workflows
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and staff
- Onboard and train new team members in policies, procedures, and best practices
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including HEDIS measures and patient follow-up metrics
- Ensure accuracy in referrals, patient records, medication management, invoices, and supply tracking
- Identify operational trends and recommend workflow or policy improvements
- Communicate updates and changes during team and monthly meetings
- Maintain compliance with Medicare Advantage Plans, HIPAA, labor laws, and internal policies
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Knowledge and understanding of OSHA and Biohazard guidelines
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical record
- Proficiency in practice management, and workflow optimization
- Proven leadership experience in staff supervision, team coordination, and performance management
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in implementing patient-centered care and enhancing patient satisfaction
- Prior experience in medical practice management, particularly in a neurology or specialty clinic, is highly desirable
