The Florida Institute of Neurology (FION) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA-C) or APRN to join our growing neurology team. This role involves providing both in-office and Optional hospital-based (For Extra Pay) patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Work Schedule - Travel
- Full-time: 5 weekday shifts per week
- Travel required between clinic locations:
- Dr. Phillips, St. Cloud, Kissimmee, Winter Garden, Oviedo, Four Corners
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and physical examinations
- Obtain and review patient histories and medical records
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of neurological conditions
- Order diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT, EEG, and EMG
- Assist supervising neurologists in patient management and care planning
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with neurologists, medical staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Manage a full daily patient schedule
- Optional for Extra Pay: Participate in inpatient neurology rounds at designated hospitals
Qualifications
- Must be U.S.-trained
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or APRN program
- Active and unrestricted Florida PA or APRN license, or ability to obtain
- Current PA-C/APRN certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (neurology or internal medicine preferred)
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to travel within county locations as needed
- Bilingual candidates are a plus
- New graduates with a strong interest in neurology are encouraged to apply
