Traffic Signal Technician/Operator

In addition, our #1 Core Value is Safety. We are seeking all levels of qualified technicians. The position involves installing traffic signals, highway lighting and communication infrastructure. Applicants must have valid FL driver’s license, be able to work flexible hours and be in good physical condition. Some travel is expected in FL only. Some of clients include Orange, Seminole, Brevard, Volusia, and Lake Counties.
Duties include but are not limited to:
General electrical knowledge, repair, replace or modify electronic and mechanical components, controllers, relays and switches
Inspect, remove and repair signal control and auxiliary equipment such as traffic signal controllers and cabinets, vehicle and pedestrian head assemblies, lights and circuitry
Locate and correct malfunctions and defects in electrical equipment related to traffic signal systems
Perform duties while elevated above traffic in basket of a boom truck
Minimum one year experience preferred with Level 1 Tech license for a non-entry level applicant.
Education Opportunities:
Paid apprenticeship and training opportunities through the 4-year Florida Electrical Apprenticeship & Training (FEAT).
Paid certifications including: CDL-A; Crane Certification (rigging, signaling, operating); IMSA; Maintenance of Traffic; Traffic Signal Technician Levels I, II, and III

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
