What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Assistant for Chiropractic/Functional Neurology Practice position at Florida Functional Neurology Group?
Our office is looking for a qualified Clinical Assistant for a state-of-the-art Chiropractic & Functional Neurology Clinic. The successful candidate will play an integral part of our team by helping to treat a wide range of patients, and will focus on teamwork and the exceptional care of patients. We see traditional chiropractic clients and well as complicated cases that have been escaping diagnosis and/or resolution. In addition, we perform Traumatic Brain Injury evaluations utilizing the most cutting-edge technologies in the N. Central Florida area. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual in the Sumter, Lake, & Marion County areas. Applicant must be available to work in our Wildwood/The Villages location. Duties include, but are not limited to, taking blood pressure, giving patient appointments, responding to timers to remove patients from electrical stimulation, utilizing LASER, heat/ice, other therapies, as well as advanced concussion testing equipment. Being computer-savvy and able to handle marketing tasks, such as Facebook posts, is a plus. Writing and clear communication skills are a must. Must like working with people of all age groups, have a positive, courteous, and friendly attitude. Must be highly organized and demonstrate strong customer service skills. Must be confident with phone skills for optimal customer service. Must be able to assist clients on/off tables, decompression table, and other therapies. Willing to learn computerized balance testing, computerized video ocular gaze and eye tracking, and other advanced technologies and/or therapies (Interactive Metronome). Previous Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) is mandatory (we use Dr. Chrono). Compensation is based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Know the medical terminology used in medical settings.
- Set up exam rooms and equipment.
- Compose patient files using appropriate software.
- Order diagnostic tests.
- Adhere to protocol while treating patients.
- Communicate with other medical staff.
- Protect patient's privacy, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Teach patients how to care for themselves until they are able to do so independently.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
