We have an opportunity for an Underwriting Support Supervisor. This position will perform duties to assist the Manager of Underwriting Support in the day-to-day operations of the underwriting department. This position is onsite in our home office in Maitland, Florida. The ideal individual will have experience in commercial policy processing including workers’ compensation, the insurance industry, training/supervision, along with a track record of increased responsibilities in policy support functions.

Responsibilities
· Learn critical policy functions, duties, and procedures assigned by the Manager of Underwriting Support.
· Supervise and train Underwriting Assistants, assign workloads, and review performance.
· Support underwriting policy process: Ensure policies, applications, and documentation are accurate and complete.
· Quality control: Review work for compliance with company guidelines and regulations.
· Process improvement: Help streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
· Communication: Serve as a liaison between underwriters, agents, and support staff.
· Process experience mods and review errored mods daily.
· Provide backup for Customer Support emails, the insured portal login, general policy questions and agency portal access.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state requirements and their specific documents.
· Maintain a high level of knowledge of state requirements and exposures.
· Identify potential issues, discrepancies, or compliance risks and escalate them to the management team.
· Pull renewals on the first of every month as backup and issue renewals on 15th of every month.
· Process dividends, deductibles and Loss Retros as backup at the end and the first of every month.
· Includes backup when primary Underwriting Support Associate, Underwriting Assistants, Agency, and Billing Associates are out.
Preferred Qualifications
· Minimum ten years’ experience in workers’ compensation insurance
· Experience in underwriting, including underwriting software systems
· Regulatory compliance knowledge (NCCI & NCRB)
· Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
