Warehouse Inventory Clerk
Schedule: Monday-F riday: 10:00am-6:30pm
(Some weekends maybe necessary)
Position Summary
The Warehouse Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and verifying incoming merchandise, processing product returns, and ensuring inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse. This role works closely with warehouse leadership, route drivers, and vendors to maintain inventory integrity and support daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory counts through weekly cycle counts and routine audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Process inventory adjustments in the warehouse management system.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or overstock situations.
- Ensure products are properly labeled, rotated (FIFO), and stored.
Receiving
- Receive deliveries from vendors including Coca-Cola, Vistar, Dandee Foods, and other suppliers.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect products for damage, shortages, expiration dates, and quality issues.
- Report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Accurately enter received inventory into the inventory management system.
Returns Management
- Check in route drivers and process all returned products.
- Document reasons for returns, including:
- Expired product
- Damaged product
- Customer refusal
- Machine malfunction
- Delivery error
- Product rotation
- Other operational issues
- Maintain return logs and identify trends to reduce future product returns.
- Coordinate with warehouse leadership regarding recurring issues.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist with order verification and inventory replenishment.
- Accurately and efficiently pick orders, placing in totes, boxes and crates.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support warehouse projects and operational improvements as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and handle high volume workload
- Regular attendance and punctuality. Reliable transportation.
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions
- Dress Code is casual. No tank tops. Must have closed toed shoes
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, squat, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Work in varying warehouse temperatures, including refrigerated storage if required.
Pay: $16.25 per hour
