Description:
- Coordinate and oversee the packaging and shipping of fabrication products, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to customers.
- Manage warehouse workers, including assigning duties, providing guidance and training, monitoring performance to ensure a productive and efficient workforce.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and accuracy through regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills and overall management of warehouse workers
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize orders, resolve shipping-related issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and practices to maintain a safe working environment for all shipping department personnel.
- Optimize shipping processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and reduce costs.
- Generate shipping-related documentation, such as bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of products for customers, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Proactively address customer inquiries, concerns, and shipping-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in shipping and logistics, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
