Powder-Coating Helper
Join Florida Fence Products (FFP), a leading aluminum fabrication provider with a specialization in fence, gates and powder-coating. To add to our team of FFP powder-coaters, we are now looking for powder-coating. Our FFP powder-coating team is going through an incredible time of growth and development. Responsibilities:
- Prep Aluminum for Paint: Prepare aluminum surfaces for powder coating by performing cleaning, sanding, and masking tasks to ensure proper adhesion of the powder coat. Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate with Other Departments: Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments, such as the fabrication team, to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. Coordinate scheduling and prioritize tasks to meet production requirements.
- Maintain a Steady Flow of Work: Help maintain a consistent flow of work by ensuring that prepped materials are ready for powder coating according to the production schedule. Assist in coordinating and optimizing production processes to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Following Instructions: Follow both written and verbal instructions provided by supervisors, project managers, or lead fabricators to carry out fabrication tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Inspect Product: Conduct thorough inspections of all prepped products to verify that they meet the required quality standards and are ready for the powder coating process. Identify any defects, imperfections, or issues that need to be addressed and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.
- Self-Starting and Organized: Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Take initiative in organizing workstations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and orderly work environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Pay meticulous attention to detail when performing prepping tasks and inspecting products. Ensure that all surfaces are properly prepped, free from contaminants, and ready for the powder coating process.
- Powder Coating Experience (Plus): While not required, having prior experience with powder coating processes and equipment is a valuable asset. Utilize knowledge and skills gained from previous powder coating experience to contribute to the efficiency and quality of the operation.
